“My All” by Billy Medford

When you find her, treat her right
The words I’ll always remember
And since then I’ve endeavoured
To keep this girl for forever
No predecessor can measure
To the pleasure I possess in your presence whatsoever
After years of not being together
I’m gonna do what it takes to impress her
I once took her for granted til the moment she left
And right then I became a mess
A wreck in distress
All I felt was an emptiness in my chest
I tried to suppress the depression
Which only led to more stressin
More aggression and blank expressions
Which eventually caused me to reassess
What truly mattered instead
This woman brings out my best
And motivates me to not settle for less
I’ve never been one to openly confess
The emotions in my chest
Unless I felt pressed or a bit of a threat
But I’m honestly blessed to express
How you take away my breaths
Whenever our eyes connect
I’m madly in love with you
And if I know nothing, I know this much is true
I’m willing to give my all
And I want to give it all to you
