It’s not the decorations, or which ornaments are better
It’s not about the snow outside, or all the colder weather
It’s not about the days you wear your ugly Christmas sweater
It’s about the love that’s shared when people get together

It’s not about the presents beneath the Christmas tree
It’s not about the stockings hung, and filled with good candy
It’s not about the buying, or the baking of cookies
It’s about the time we spend with friends and family

It’s not about the music, or the carols that we sing
It’s not about the Jingle Bells, and all their ring-a-ling
It’s not procrastination, and last-minute shopping
It’s thanks and adoration to the coming of Our King

It’s not about the Santa’s list, and who’s naughty or nice
It’s not about the sledding, or the fun-filled snowball fights
It’s not about the houses all aglow with blinking lights

It’s ALL about the birthing of Our Savior, Jesus Christ
